Connect Render to Fondoo
Live2 min readUpdated
Create a Render API key in the Render dashboard. Optionally set the workspace ID and the webhook signing secret (whsec...). Deploys and env var changes act on live services.
Official documentation: https://api-docs.render.com/reference/introduction
Credentials
apiKey: secret Render API key from the Render dashboard (UNCERTAIN: menu path).ownerId: optional public workspace ID (xxx-...pattern) that filters service listing.webhookSecret: optionalwhsec_...signing secret, 16-300 characters, from Render webhook settings.
Permissions
- test() makes one cheap service read; untested capabilities stay unknown, never granted.
Capabilities
Run via connector_action over REST/MCP after add_connection_key and test_connection. Money and destructive actions need owner approval.
- Read:
services.list,services.get,deploys.list,deploys.get,env_vars.list,webhooks.verify,webhooks.parse - Write:
deploys.cancel,env_vars.set - Money (approval):
deploys.create - Destructive (approval):
env_vars.delete
Webhooks
Standard Webhooks scheme (HMAC-SHA256, 300 s replay window); see https://render.com/docs/webhooks.
Limits and uncertainties
- Rate: local budget of 30 requests/60 s; Render account limits unconfirmed (UNCERTAIN). Retry-After remains authoritative.
- UNCERTAIN: API key menu path, webhook header names (webhook-id, webhook-timestamp, webhook-signature), and webhook and list payload shapes.
