Connect Google Sheets to Fondoo
Google Sheets in Fondoo: what your AI agent can do with it, what to set up first, the permissions it needs and its limits.
In the customer's own Google Cloud project, enable the Google Sheets API, create a service account and a JSON key, paste the key minified or base64, and share each spreadsheet with the service account's client_email (Editor to write, Viewer to read). Fondoo's own Google OAuth app is never used and no domain-wide delegation is needed.
Auth: client_credentials; secret serviceAccountJson (100-20000 characters), optional public spreadsheetId (20-100 letters, digits, _ or -). Scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets. Tokens use an RS256 JWT-bearer exchange at https://oauth2.googleapis.com/token and refresh with 60 seconds remaining. The module is unregistered pending the airtable ticket.
Base: https://sheets.googleapis.com/v4/spreadsheets. input.spreadsheetId overrides the default; one is required. spreadsheets.get reads ID, title and sheet properties. rows.read reads an A1 range with majorDimension=ROWS and valueRenderOption FORMATTED_VALUE (default), UNFORMATTED_VALUE or FORMULA. rows.append posts to /values/{range}:append with insertDataOption=INSERT_ROWS; rows.update puts to /values/{range}. Both write {majorDimension:'ROWS', values}; update also includes range.
Ranges are 1-200 characters without control characters, ? or #, encoded into the path. Writes accept 1-1000 rows, at most 200 cells per row and 10000 cells total. Cells are strings up to 50000 characters, finite numbers, booleans or null. valueInputOption is RAW (default) or USER_ENTERED. RAW prevents formula execution; USER_ENTERED lets Google parse formulas. Connection testing exchanges a token and reads the default sheet's ID if configured; only spreadsheets.get is confirmed. Without a default it confirms no capabilities and asks you to share sheets with client_email.
Local budget: 60 requests per 60 seconds. Google documents per-minute per-project and per-user quotas; exact numbers UNCERTAIN. Official REST reference. Reuses the MIT @fondoo/connector-sdk GA4 service-account parser and signer; google-auth-library (Apache-2.0) is a JWT-bearer flow reference only, with no added dependency.
